Oak Park Hills Chapel has proudly served families throughout Contra Costa County, California, for over 60 years. Our business' history begins when Roger Magleby, who was a pioneer in air-sea scatterings and a pilot, established our business in what was once a military medical staging and processing building for Camp Stoneman in Pittsburg, California. Ever since, we've had a special relationship with our military families and we are proud to be certified as Veterans Funeral Specialists.
Our funeral home is centrally located in the East Bay in Contra Costa County's Diablo Valley and easily accessible on North Main Street in Walnut Creek for families in the city as well as Pleasant Hill, Lafayette, and Concord.
We have transparent pricing for direct cremation and burial. As a recognition of our diverse area, we have Japanese speaking funeral advisors available and tailor our services to all needs and backgrounds.

- Includes all of the essential services of the funeral director and staff.
- Removal and transportation of your loved one to the crematory (within a 10 mile radius).
- Care of your loved one until cremation is complete.
- Cremation process and return of ashes.
- Consultation with responsible party for final arrangements.
- All the necessary permits and authorizations.
- Free self-service online obituary.
- Many other optional services available - including celebration of life event planning, traditional funeral service, on-site catering, scattering assistance, and more - at additional charge.

My family and I were so lucky that we decided to use Oak Park Hills Chapel. Mark and then entire staff were very helpful and responsive. We needed our mother transported to Southern California so she could be buried next to our father. Mark and Oak Park Hills Chapel walked us through everything we needed to do. The Cemetery in LA was very difficult to work with and slow to respond. If not for Mark, it could have been a disaster. He was so responsive and helpful the whole time. He answered every email promptly, even on the weekend. During a difficult time, Oak Park Hills Chapel was the silver lining.

I have used this business a few times over the years and find their services to be top notch! Their professionalism, kindness, and extensive knowledge has been so helpful during difficult times. Mark Magleby was available immediately each time I called or came into the office. I never had to wait. So patient and reassuring even when I had a million questions. If you are looking for a family owned business with years of experience this is the right place for you! I highly recommend.

The Magleby Family has been there to bury my grandparents, parents, father-in-law, and most recently my wife. The services were all treated with courtesy, respect, Love. I highly recommend their chapel.
