This is the best recipe for flourless brownies. The brownies are soft, fluffy, yet chewy and super delicious.
Flourless Brownies Recipe - Gluten free and grain free (1)A few years ago I remember seeing a popular flourless brownies recipe online and never got around to trying it out. Whenever I’m in the mood for some delicious brownies, I always use my recipe for paleo brownies made with coconut flour. This weekend we ran out of coconut flour, so I thought I would give a flourless brownies recipe a try!

I’m so glad I tried making flourless brownies because they came out delicious! They’re soft, moist and so chocolatey!

I used to make brownies all the time a few years ago and bring them as a treat to work. After not making brownies for several years and suddenly having them again, I realized how much I missed them. Something about having a delicious chocolate treat really helps me get through the day at work. Luckily, this flourless brownies recipe is pretty healthy, so you don’t have to feel guilty about enjoying them!

This recipe is quick to make, and you only need five ingredients! It’s gluten free, dairy free, grain free, paleo, and a healthier version of regular brownies.

The Best Way to Sweeten Flourless Brownies

This recipe is a combination of a few different recipes I tried. Most of the flourless brownies recipes that I came across had regular granulated sugar, so instead of regular sugar, I substituted raw honey. Raw honey is one of the healthiest natural sweeteners for recipes. Anytime I bake desserts; my first go-to sweetener is always honey. When I came up with this recipe, I also eliminated butter from the recipe and replaced it with coconut oil; that way, the recipe is dairy free.

You can use any good cooking oil for this flourless brownies recipe, if you have another type you prefer. I always like coconut oil because it is one of the healthier oils to use.Flourless Brownies Recipe - Gluten free and grain free (2)

Melt in Your Mouth Brownies

These brownies are so delicious and melt in your mouth. They aren’t as cake like as my recipe for paleo coconut flour brownies. They are a little more gooey and yummy fudgey.

If you love chocolate, this flourless brownies recipe is for you! Since there isn’t any flour in this recipe, the chocolate is pretty concentrated. I love chocolate and always look forward to chocolate treats like this one.Flourless Brownies Recipe - Gluten free and grain free (3)

How to Store the Brownies

I usually leave these flourless brownies in an air tight container on my kitchen counter. They will last about five days at room temperature. They’re so good; we usually eat them all before five days is up. If you want to store them longer, you can keep them in the fridge or freezer. They can last about six months in the freezer.

I’m going to make these for my church’s local group for Saturday’s dinner after our Sabbath service. Out of 22 of us, five of us need to be gf, two of us have to be dairy free and refined sugar free (and I like using raw honey for my sweetener in nearly everything) and one little girl and I have so many allergies, her mother has to make and bring the child’s dinner separately, and i have to make and take my own separate meal. Everyone else does a carefully planned potluck, so 99% of the time, I don’t get to enjoy any of the delicious foods they’re all eating. This Saturday, though, I’ll get to share these fabulous brownies, and even the little girl who is so allergic to everything will be able to enjoy a very small piece.
Thank you for such a delicious, wonderfully chocolatey brownie recipe!

Do you use refined or unrefined coconut oil? I made these and they are amazing! My first time baking with coconut oil. Thanks for sharing.

Hi, Lori, trying your recipe! Wondering, though, can you sub out egg whites for whole eggs? How many egg whites would you suggest? Thanks, Dianna (PS Love your Paleo Flour Blend!!)

Hey! This recipe looks fantastic 🙂 My question is: by “degree” do you mean Celcius or Fahrenheit?

Thank you for this recipe! It’s so easy and tastes great, and thanks to the lack of flour, it doesn’t have the slightly grainy texture of a lot of other gluten-free brownie recipes.

When I saw that perfectly crackled top in your photos, I thought, “No way these are flourless.” Then, when I saw they have 5 ingredients, again, I thought, “No way. These are not real.” And now I’m making them. 🙂 🙂 🙂 I love, love, LOVE recipes with minimal ingredients that still turn out amazing!

Carbs per piece and how many pieces? How much stevia instead of honey and if so, replace the volume with something else? Finally can Hersheys cocao work; both dark chocolate and milk chocolate?

Hi Shirley, it makes about 9 brownies. I haven’t tried using stevia instead of honey, but that should work. Any brand of cocao flour should work too.

    Thanks so much
